We travelled down in beautiful, sunny weather so we were spitting feathers after checking in and meeting up with Shelley's brother Craig and sister in law Maria.
First stop was Bournemouth's 60 Million Postcards, deliberately chosen due to the fact that there was a strong chance we'd get a seat in the sun and catch a few rays. This was indeed what happened..
The fact that it was a balmy twenty six degrees meant that I joined Shelley and Maria on the Aspall cider whilst Craig went all Italian on us with a pint of Peroni.
The pub is a great one, the walls and ceilings are adorned with postcards and album covers though I think there are actually only 59,999,999 of them if I'm being pedantic !!
We were doing all we could to deal with the sultry temperatures, we slipped, slapped and slopped and made sure we kept hydrated stopping for pints number two and three.
Round four saw a change in the order, I moved onto a rather disappointing cloudy pint of Tribute Pale Ale with Maria (whose Welsh accent means that she occasionally drops her h's) changing to 'alves.
We could easily have stopped there a while longer but decided that a change of scenery was in order though not before I had my photo taken in front of the pub's fairly uninspiring pub sign..
